This article about tourist caves offers the solution... www.wcax.com/Global/story.asp?S=10116054&nav=menu183_2...some tourist attractions that do have bats may start requiring visitors to wipe their feet on special mats before going in and coming out. All we need are some special mats for the entrances to bat caves! We are saved!!! (plus, this proves WNS is a government conspiracy, as this is such a simple solution, and only Big Caving Business was notified!)

Special precautions have never stopped the spread of the fungus in the Caves of Lascaux. Part of the process before entering Lascaux is that they make you dip your booths in several containers of solution that is suppose to kill the fungus. Reference: Fungus threatens famed Lascaux cave drawings

With all due respect to the ravages at Lascaux, and WNS, just imagine this world *without* fungus. No spring morels. No mushroom pizza. And the amount of putrid organic debris around would be gigantic. No 'fungal mat' is going to stop this unless they can put it on strands at the entrances to bat caves, so that the bats have to fly through it.
