Cave Karst project on the verge of progressFrom the Current-Argus It's right on the edge of being a cautionary tale on overcomplicated government projects with too many federal, state and local cooks. The National Cave and Karst Institute was formed a decade ago with a mission to promote research, education and stewardship of cave and karst resources nationally and internationally. Employees of the institute have been working toward that goal, but they've been without a permanent headquarters. The institute currently has offices at the Permian Basin Regional Training Center. A long planned full time headquarters, however, would enable the institute to greatly expand its efforts in education and outreach. Full Text
