several friends and i got together down on Guntersville lake this past weekend, to do some camping, drinking, caving and having a good time, we arrived Thursday evening to an already established camp, set up by our Alabama caving buds, we got our tents up and stood around the fire for good conversation and some good old American beer, several several beer's later all are in there tents sleeping but me, I'm hunkered by the front of my truck puking up beer and half cooked bratwursts, its what i get for open fire cooking while intoxicated, i spent most of Friday hovering around camp while the others floated around on the lake, then Saturday morning we headed of to cave, and for the second time in several years i didn't make it through the tight spot to the pretties, but an alternate rout for a float was found, and upon a return trip i will be in there, Saturday morning also had all of us waking to a camp trashed and ravaged by a stray dog, and me waking up to a soaking wet tent, due to being drunk and not putting the rain flap on, so i was in the end,, unable to see all the cave, rained on in my sleep, sick drunk, eat up by mosquito's in my drunken sleep, and i had a blast,, cant wait to do it again,,,,,,,,, minus a few details

sorry, we went to gross skeleton cave, made it back through the stream to the climb up, which is where the tight spot is, again i couldnt fit, so the others went on to look for another route, a rumored route, when it was found it was determined that i would have to swim under a formation with barely enough room for my head to be out of water in a narrow passage, something about the hole didnt settle with me, so i aborted, and took pictures while waiting on the others, we plan to go back with a float so i can make it back to the pretties, should turn out to be a good trip, no no headache, just dont plan on eating any brat's for some time

It helps if you cook the food first! Seriously though I used to get queasy if I breathed too much smoke in while cooking over a fire. Add undercooked food to that and " Thar she blows!" You'll recover and live to cave again. And just think about all those calories you didn't have to process!
