1st let me say to Rodney and Steve this is not an apology, I joke out of fun and in admiration, and I know Ive got some revenge coming, and ill take it with a smile,
now then, if you haven't read it the joke I refer to is in "raus quarry vertical rescue training" and here is the serious side of it,
were it not for ready and willing , trained persons like Rodney and his friends, several cavers out there caving today, and caving on rope today would not be here. or be doing so, it is threw the long work, many classes and dedication to helping others, that many of these cave rescue technicians know how to do,and what to do, when we, who think we know what we are doing, go out and get ourselves in trouble , they are the ones who get us out,
what ever state we end up putting ourselves in ,no matter how bad it is they keep a cool head and get us out of it, even as I joke about how things look while standing on the outside looking in/up at Rodney's practice session, I personally know one caver who got in trouble on rope, and I'm sure most of you know some one who has been there also, rescue made the trip and got my friend out of trouble, just as they have for several others, and will continue to do so, as long as we continue to risk our necks for what we love, they do what they do out of love for fellow man, and out of love for what they do,
so it is with much respect, I say on the serious side of the joke,
to Rodney and all like him, for what you do and with hope that you wont be getting any calls for a real life rescue,
THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
