The lighted "christmas tree" above was formed by helmet lamps worn by local speleologists. And below is a link to our "Video-Gift" that will allow you to come along on a typical visit down into the ancient aqueducts, cisterns and quarried caverns beneath the city. The video documents a visit last weekend by eager first time underground explorers beneath Naples, who included a long time friend of Nug translator, Larry Ray, Mr. Licio DiMauro, who is 80 years old! Licio has the energy of an 18-year-old, is trim and lean, and delighted in wiggling through narrow openings in the yellow tuff passageways setting a pace hard to keep up with. Click the video link below and come along with the group as the video artistry of Luca, AKA "Ipogeo," our brilliant speleo friend, takes you on a sight and sound exploration of ancient Roman aqueducts and mysterious caverns and passageways some 40 meters beneath the wonderful city of Naples, Italy! ^^ L'acquedotto del Carmignano^^ Here's the link to our GALLERY photos.
