So who is going to be at the SERA Winter Business Meeting and/or the SKTFi clean up this weekend?

I'm hoping to attend both if possible. I imagine I'll see you there. I would have liked to attend the SKTF Board on Sunday night too, but it's unlikely timing will permit that.

Well, I haven't left home yet, we seem to be experiencing a winter weather event. It's 31 degrees and raining at my house, with ice forming on stationary objects. Let's see what happens in the next hour or so. Who'd of thought the weathermen might actually be right this time?

The drive Saturday morning was indeed very cold and icy all the way to the mountain but the roads were clear. Central Alabama Grotto did a fantastic job hosting this years SERA Winter Business Meeting! The attention to detail and the service during the banquet was better than many 5 star restaurants I've been to. Sunday's clean up began with some frigid temperatures but it warmed up nicely and lots of trash was removed. It was another great weekend to be a caver!

Sounds like it all turned out well Lynn. Wish I could have made it, but there was no way I could tell if the roads were clear between here and there. The news kept telling people not to drive unless necessary, so I erred on the side of caution. Hopefully there will be another clean up in the area before this year is out.
I'm glad the event was a great success!

With the weathermen's grim reports, I understand Sharon. A second Orme Mtn road clean up is tenatively planned for April. Stay tuned.....
